Bass Coast Bodies comprises a group of eight members of the Bass Coast Artists' Society: Heather Carroll, Jessica Harrison, Jill Hill, Russell Kent, Lyn Landon, Joh Mackenzie, Marian Quigley and Wendy Saphin.
We attend weekly life drawing sessions at the Goods Shed in Wonthaggi and all enjoy the mutual support and encouragement in our artistic endeavours that the group provides - together with a wonderful camaraderie.
This is the first exhibition by this particular group, although some of us exhibited our life drawings in a group show, Night and Day - Figures in the Shed at Meeniyan Art Gallery in 2010 and Heather Carroll and Marian Quigley held a joint exhibition: Reflections as part of Creative Gippsland month at the Community Hub Gallery, Inverloch in 2011.
Our artistic styles, strengths and experience vary - some members exhibit regularly and some have sold their work previously. However, the main aim of this exhibition is to share our enjoyment with all things creative!
