| A Different Point of View |
March 24 to April 5You are warmly invited to attend the opening on Saturday 26th March at 4pm.
The self taught artist Diana Muenninghoff aka D.L. uses different techniques with which she never feels pleased, always looking for perfection. She says: I believe Art is a universal language. I tell stories in my paintings and installations using this language. To do so makes me succeed in combining controversial points of view. I also favour specific themes that I feel are not common in contemporary art. I want to force the audience to think about the status quo and have a closer look at it. My intention is to enforce free interpretation but to show my own opinions, expessions and thoughts as well. I want to use art to enable communication between the artwork, the audience and myself. The poet "Goethe" expessed my fundamental belief at its best : "Der Mensch ist prinzipiell zu allem faehig". This means, One (a human being) is principally able to do (or to be) everything (the good and the bad). Even if my work, every now and then, makes you expect something different, I'm a positive thinking person. To transport, to express my sight, thoughts and feelings throughout my artwork feels like the hardest, but at the same time, the best thing I have ever done in my entire life.
