Renae Carmody is a local artist from Leongatha who loves living in beautiful South Gippsland with her husband Warren and three children Philippa, William and Zara.

In 2000, Renae produced a series of postcards for many towns around South Gippsland because she felt that there was very little acknowledgment of their landmarks and features, and she wanted locals and tourists to have access to fun and colourful images to send to other parts of Australia and the world. These designs were enjoyed and well supported locally and were sent to some weird and wonderful places.

Since this first series of paintings, Renae has produced artwork for the Catholic Education Office which has been printed and distributed throughout the Sale Diocese; has sold many artworks both locally, nationally and internationally; sponsored many local art prizes; judged various local artshows; and presented art workshops to a wide range of children, corporate clients and private groups. It is for this service to the South Gippsland community that Renae was nominated and chosen to be on the front cover of the 2009/2010 White and Yellow Pages for Warragul and districts.

Renae's business, Artzillery, which is based in Leongatha, offers an art experience for children of all ages through weekly art workshops and the wonderful range of age appropriate art supplies. Over 100 children enjoy the freedom that art brings through the tuition of qualified art professionals.

Renae believes that our creativity is our birthright and we owe it to ourselves to explore avenues to achieve peace, happiness and balance in our lives.
